Lumamigo ("we", "us", "our") builds Luma, an app that helps you practice sharper thinking through dilemmas, lessons, and friendly debate. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account details: your name, email address, and password (handled securely by our authentication provider).
• Profile details you choose to share: your age, avatar/character choices, and any display name or username.
• App activity: the dilemmas and lessons you complete, your answers and written responses, streaks, Lumens, and progress.
• Social content: posts, replies, and messages you share in features like the Why Wall, Friends, chat, and debates, along with the identity of the friends you connect with.
• Device and usage data: basic diagnostic information (such as app version and crash logs) used to keep the app reliable.

Waitlist Emails

If you join the Lumamigo waitlist on our website, we collect your email address so we can let you know when Lumamigo launches and share occasional updates. We store it with our email service provider, MailerLite, and use it only to contact you about Lumamigo. We do not sell it, and you can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve the app: creating and securing your account, tracking your learning progress, personalizing lessons and dilemmas, powering social features like the Why Wall and Friends, and communicating important updates to you. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing of Information

We share information with service providers who help us run the app. For example, our authentication and database provider, which stores your account and app data securely on our behalf. Content you choose to post publicly (such as Why Wall replies) is visible to other users. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Children's Privacy

Lumamigo is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your Choices

You can review and update your profile information at any time from your Account settings. You may request that we delete your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.

Data Retention & Security

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the app's features. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect.
